A brick bbq has several benefits. The first is that it is truly gorgeous. It can be a conversation piece as well as a useful tool. While it may be larger and not portable like other grills, there is something to be said for tradition.

Huge Block Smoker Has Plenty Of Versatility

For those outdoor chefs who often work with a variety of meats, a huge block smoker may be the solution. With and average size of three feet high and two feet wide and deep, these smokers can hold a lot of meat, over 50 pounds, and can operate on wood or gas, depending on the type you buy.

Many people prefer a gas or electric huge block smoker to allow better control over the temperature, but with many of the smokers having three or more dampers to allow heat to escape, a wood-fired huge block smoker is not out of the question. It will depend on how many people you plot to invite to your cookouts.

Although most huge block smokers are capable of cooking a variety of meats at the same time, due to the potential for cross-species contamination it is not recommended. For the safety of your cooked, only one species at a time should be cooked. You should also consider the flavorings rubbed on the meat prior to cooking as well. If you have more than one flavoring, it should be placed above the meat with the same flavoring. For example, lemon pepper above lemon pepper not over barbecue.

The Better The Smoker The Better The Results

When it comes to comparing one huge block smoker to another, do not judge by price alone. Smokers of this type are going to be between %100 and %400 with a lot of room for savings in between. Being able to spot the features you want and need in a smoker is what will help you make the right choice.

Just as you do not want to buy a huge block smoker that has more capacity than you will ever use, you also do not want one that will require two or more cycles to smoke enough food for your party. On average, a fifty-pound capacity will probably be sufficient for most home use occasions, and any more than that may cause you to heat space you are not using.

Proper cleaning of your huge block smoker prior to every use is vital to help maintain the flavor of your food. Keeping food safe from contamination of previous cooked foods is also vital, but allowing cooked food particles to dry on your cooking grates will harm the flavor of your next cookout as well as set the stage for bacteria growth.

Wall clocks of All Ages

Nearly all homes own at least one wall clock. But, not everyone is aware that the family wall clock showed on your living room came from a line of different clocks.

The sundial was the earliest and crudest form of all time-keeping devices. Although specially constructed as a wall clock tower, sundial clocks work by determining time based on how the shadows from the sun cast on its surfaces. Modern wall clocks use the look and feel of a sundial clock into modern models.

The earliest wall clock developed to be available for home use was wall clocks designed with brass dials. Unfortunately, artisans hand made each wall clock, taking several months to complete, thus the expensive price tag that only aristocrats can afford.

When British improved the design of the earlier brass dials by painting them, these clocks became the origins of the modern wall clock dials today. When it gained popularity, it became the right wall clock for home use, which people of all classes can afford.

The modern wall clocks are mostly designed based from the British painted dials, but with the addition of advanced technology for quick production. Unlike the traditional handmade dials, modern wall clocks are mass-produced and make use of cheaper materials like metal or plastics. Because of this, a piece of wall clock can be bought for as low as five dollars.

Although you can buy wall clocks in the malls, you can still look for specialty shops that offer specialty handmade wall clocks. Of course, be ready to pay a hundred dollars or more.

The future: Atomic Wall Clock

The atomic wall clock is among the most accurate time-keeping devices available in the market today. It helps in organizing a person’s business and personal life by telling you about each second gained or wasted.

Atomic wall clocks are designed to adjust time automatically, according to your own region. These kinds of wall clocks contain a specific chip, which can right time regularly via signals from their corresponding regional station. Some atomic wall clocks have extra features to match anyone’s needs. But, atomic wall clocks that are bought in Europe will not work in the U.S. since it has been programmed for the European region only.

Due to technology advancements, the modern wall clock continues to provide people with new ways of organizing and managing time. From the authentic and classy handmade wall clocks, to the mass-produced %10 clock, you have the choice on how you like your wall clock make your lives simpler.

Finger Lickin’ Barbeque Chicken – Without The Grill

We all like barbeque chicken. That tasty treat that leaves sticky fingers all around, has been a summertime favourite for years. But did you know that it is possible to delight in this family favourite all year long, without a grill? A simple, ancient fashioned recipe for tried and right, kitchen prepared, barbeque chicken has been in my family for years. Below you will find step by step instructions that will have your family agreeing that your barbeque chicken is the best!

The Ingredients

To make this world well-known barbeque chicken, first you need about ten pounds of chicken leg quarters. Be sure that you rinse them well, removing any remaining feather squibs (the bottom stalk of the feathers), but leave the skin on. You are going to want a large tub that you can fit all of the leg quarters in once they have been rinsed.

The second step to this incredible barbeque chicken is the marinade. You first need to completely cover the rinsed leg quarters with water. Over top of this, you need to pour one cup sea salt, one quarter cup onion powder, and one quarter cup garlic powder. Let the chicken sit in this mixture for at least three hours. Overnight is best.

Step three in this fabulous barbeque chicken recipe is the actual cooking of the chicken. The best way to do this, to ensure that your chicken stays moist and juicy, is to wrap the leg quarters in sheets of foil. I usually place two leg quarters together, and crimp the edges of the foil together around them. Once you have covered all of the leg quarters, place them on cookie sheets, and bake them in a 350 degree oven for about an hour and a half.

The final step to making this tasty barbeque chicken is the actual barbequing of the chicken. This step is completed under your oven’s broiler. Remove the leg quarters from the foil, and lay them side by side on a broiler pan. Brush the tops liberally with your choice of barbeque sauce. Be sure that you turn your broiler on high, and do not walk away, as this step only takes a minute.

Place the barbeque chicken under the broiler, leaving it in only long enough for the skin to crisp. If you leave the chicken under the broiler for too long it will burn, so watch it carefully. I can guarantee that, if prepared properly, this oven-cooked, barbeque chicken will quickly become a family favourite.
