Another well loved Christmas door decoration is that of a single large bow with long ends. While traditionally this bow is made out of velvet ribbon and is a festive red in color, one can always buy wide ribbon from a craft store and construct one’s own from any pattern of ribbon that one likes.
An especially festive Christmas door decoration is a single strand of sleigh bells. These sleigh bells can be either silver or gold in color, and are generally attached to a leather belt which is then hung on the door. This is a fantastic decoration to have in a house with children, because each time someone walks through the front door, they can imagine that it is Santa Claus.
Of course, one does not always have to buy ready-made Christmas door decorations, because there is always the option of making one’s own. One thought is to place Christmas wrapping paper all over the front door and attaching a bow to make it look like a present.
